Methods of Intervention
To meet the expectations of its clients, SIE provides different types of support
Under this mode of intervention, SIE acts as an ESCO and concludes an energy performance contract (EPC) with the beneficiaries, through which it undertakes to ensure the design, financing, implementation, and maintenance of an energy performance project, while guaranteeing the energy performance level of the installation.
As a result, SIE :
- Undertakes to achieve a (guaranteed) level of energy performance ;
- Performs the structuring and development of the EE project, similar to DPC activities (see section on Delegated Project Contracting) ;
- Stands as the main counterpart of the project beneficiary and the signatory of the energy performance contract.
In this mode of intervention, SIE acts as an ESCO and concludes an energy performance contract with the beneficiaries under which it undertakes to ensure the design, financing, implementation, and maintenance of an energy performance project, while guaranteeing the energy performance level of the installation.
Therefore, SIE :

- Stands as the main counterpart of the project beneficiary and the signatory of the energy performance contract.
As a project management assistant, SIE plays the role of a service provider, taking on and delivering preliminary studies entrusted by the Client. Afterwards, the Client is responsible for the choice of the solution and the contracting process with the project suppliers. During the implementation phase, SIE assists its partner in ensuring the compliance of the work performed.
Under this mode, and beyond technical expertise, the added value of SIE lies in its neutrality and impartiality with respect to technical choices and the selection of suppliers.
As is the case for DPC, two different situations are to be distinguished:
- Performs the structuring and development of the EE project, similar to DPC activities (see section on Delegated Project Contracting) ;
- Stands as the main counterpart of the project beneficiary and the signatory of the energy performance contract.
